From firebreather/stiltwalker to head of a business of more than 5,000 employees without compromising his original goal in life – now THAT takes some creative planning!! A street performer from Quebec, Guy Laliberte, wanted to spend his life traveling and entertaining. He accomplished this by bringing together a community of fellow street performers and forming Cirque du Soleil. But his amazing creativity didn’t end there. In 1995 he started Cirque du Monde a program for at risk youth to help them build self esteem and find a way to fit in with society. 2007 saw Guy starting One Drop Foundation as a way to fight poverty by providing access to safe water for everyone. All his “creations” use circus arts as a vehicle to accomplish their goals. Check out the November 7th issue of Fortune Magazine for more information on this amazing entrepreneur.
